For obvious reasons an ordinary domestic microwave oven won't work in the cab of a lorry, because you need 240 volts AC, (unless you already have a 24 volt inverter).
A twenty four volt microwave oven already has the inverter built in so you just connect up to the battery and start cooking, without cluttering up the cab with an extra gadget.
It just has to be connected to the vehicles battery by high current leads with a suitable fuse. The leads must be capable of supplying at least 60 amps, and you will have to leave the engine running while the oven is in use. It's best to have it installed by a qualified electrician.
