Most modern domestic microwaves need to draw about 8 amps from the mains supply to work. On most campsites you are limited to 6 amps, meaning the microwave will keep tripping the supply. Our modified microwave ovens draw 5 amps or less with no start up surge meaning they won't trip the power supply.
No need for expensive inverters to run the microwave from the car / camper battery as it runs from 240 volts AC.
Just plug into a 240V AC mains supply and go. These ovens will also work on continental 220V AC mains supplies with a suitable earthed European mains adapter plug. These ovens cannot be used on American 110V AC mains supplies.
