As microwave oven specialists we have often been asked if we can supply low power microwave ovens for use on campsites. This is because most campsites limit their electrical supply to 10 amps maximum, and some as low as 6 amps per outlet. These supplies are also very intolerant of power surges, so when you start a microwave it's liable to trip your mains supply.

We can supply specially modified microwave ovens, which draw a maximum of 5amps from your power connection. These ovens also have no start up surge, so they are ideal for use on campsites.

 If you are intending to use one of our microwaves with an inverter (in an HGV for example) they will work well as long as you have a 2000 watt inverter, a 1500 watt inverter won't quite supply enough power and will keep overloading.
(Most inverters have a built in trip for overload protection).
